For office Christmas parties, there are some fashion rules that need to be followed. They are there for a reason. Mainly so you don’t get embarrassed later when the photos get developed and passed around for all to see at work. Trust me on this.

Office party rule #1: Avoid the strapless bodycon thing

You’re going to want to ensure you follow this rule. I mean it’s not that you don’t look fabulous in a bodycon. You have to always be on the alert with this type of dress. You can’t bend over or other similar movement because your breasts may make an unscheduled appearance.

Office party rule #2: Platform stilettos are not in style

You may be the only person on the planet who can walk in these sober. But once you get a few shots and drinks in you, you may not be that sturdy anymore. I’m not saying that heels are a big no-no. I’m just saying that all that hard work you put in to look great for this occasion may come to a “crashing” halt if you were to fall. Lower heels may do the trick.

Office party rule #3: Tiaras are not your friend

You are the queen you know you are. But you need to remember a couple of things. You are no longer a youngin’ and its Christmas not Halloween. If you find it cold outside, then go for a chic faux fur headband or black earmuffs (to wear to and from) but pom pom ears will not suit your Christmas party outfit.

Office party rule #4: Plunging and low cuts may not be the best idea

You may have a banging set but if you wear a plunging neckline or low cut outfit, it will show off too much. There is a time and place to be showing off the girls but the office party is not that place. A little is ok though!

Office party rule #5: The office party is not the place to try out OTT beauty trends

I’m all for making bold statements and lots of color to boot. But the office Christmas party is not the place to show up with way over the top beauty trends.
