You are probably being plastered with all sorts of ads about Christmas and all that stuff. Gather your friends and have them come over with some wine or have a few friends over with their little ones to have a mommy/child time. Either way it’s a great way to celebrate yet relax all together.

Handmade Peppermint Bath Bombs

6

Supplies:

1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 Tablespoon Epsom salt
2 teaspoons Sweet Almond Oil
3/4 teaspoon water
15-20 drops Peppermint Oil
food coloring (optional)

Directions:

In a small bowl combine almond oil, water, essential oil, and food coloring.
Pour wet mixture into dry mixture. Mix with a whisk until fully combined. Use your hands to press bath bomb mixture into mold.
You can use the ornament balls I mentioned above or make creative shapes with baking molds. I used a silicone snowflake mold from Amazon for mine. Tip: carefully press the mixture into the silicone mold, try not to press too hard to avoid having the mold widen and distort the design. I let the ornament balls set for 2 hours before removing the plastic ornament ball, then setting them on a towel to dry overnight. For the snowflake mold, I let them dry overnight. The dry time will depend on the humidity in your area and home.

DIY Peppermint & Cinnamon Lip Balm

7

Supplies:

3 Tablespoons Shea Butter
1 Tablespoon Beeswax
1 capsule of vitamin E oil (optional)
1 Tablespoon of Grape seed Oil (or Olive, Coconut- I used food grade) Candy Flavors (or essential oils- food grade)
Small Tins

Directions:

Melt Beeswax and Shea Butter. I wait until the Beeswax is about half melted before I add the Shea. Once both are liquid, add in the oil and remove from heat.

Carefully pour into measuring cup and add your candy flavor or essential oil. How much is up to you. It will also depend on the strength of the product you use. I like to add 5-6 drops at a time. Gently stir.
Carefully fill your tins. Allow to set up overnight at room temperature. (Leave the lid open)
