You know your family will do something for you for Father’s Day. You want to look your best with your clothes and your hair.  You already have the clothes, now time for a haircut.  So what kind suits your face best?

Dad Haircut #1:  Square

When you have a square face, its masculine and angular.  The classic tight haircut (which include  close fades, short layers and business-like side parts), are best. Just make sure the hairline isn’t perfectly cut out because it may highlight receding hairlines if you happen to have one.

Dad Haircut #2:  Round

One of the best ways to highlight a round face is to make a square.  That means having it ultra tight on the sides but leaving some height on top.  Pompadours and flat tops are your best options.

Dad Haircut #3:  Triangle

It helps to open up your forehead with a shorter hairline in the front. A cut that comes in on the sides of your face with layers and an open forehead will remove the triangle. This lets texture come alive in the interior and maintains a classic taper in the hairline.

Dad Haircut #4:  Oval

Haircuts that have a swept or windblown look will flatter an oval face. It’s best because there is tons of volume and length.  Do your best to avoid too much heavy hair on the forehead because that will give your face a softened look and make your face look rounder.

Dad Haircut #5:  Heart

If you leave some length at the back hairline and over your ears,  this allows texture to show off.

Dad Haircut #6:  Rectangle

When you have a rectangular face, the key is to balance the haircut overall with a balance in styling.  What we need to remember is that high on the top will make your face look way too long and overly tight on the sides, making your face look very thin.
